What is the Leg Press (Single Leg)?

The single leg horizontal leg press is an exercise primarily targeting the quadriceps muscles of each leg individually. It helps in improving muscle balance by strengthening each leg separately. Suitable for all levels, this exercise is ideal for developing overall leg strength.

How to properly perform the Leg Press (Single Leg)

  1. Adjust the seat of the leg press machine to a comfortable position.
  2. Place one foot on the footplate, positioning it in the center.
  3. Push the footplate away from your body by extending your leg and straightening your knee.
  4. Pause for a moment at the end of the movement, then slowly return to the starting position.
  5. Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions, then switch legs and perform with the other leg.
