What is the Seated Calf Raise Machine?

The seated calf raise machine is an excellent isolation exercise that specifically targets the calf muscles. This exercise is perfect for developing strength and definition in the lower legs, making it ideal for both beginners and advanced athletes at the end of a workout.

How to properly perform the Seated Calf Raise Machine

  1. Adjust the seat and foot platform of the calf raise machine to a comfortable position.
  2. Sit on the machine with your knees bent and place your toes on the foot platform, heels extending off the edge.
  3. Release the safety handles and press down with your toes to lift the weight stack.
  4. Hold the contraction at the top for a second, then slowly lower the weight stack by flexing your calves and allowing your heels to drop below the foot platform.
  5. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions.
