What is the Wrist Roller (Andrieu)?
The wrist roller (Andrieu) is an excellent exercise for strengthening the forearm muscles and wrists. Suitable for all fitness levels, this exercise not only enhances grip strength but also improves wrist stability. It's especially beneficial for sports requiring a strong grip and powerful forearms.
How to properly perform the Wrist Roller (Andrieu)
- Attach a weight plate to one end of a long rope or bar, creating a wrist roller.
- Hold the wrist roller with an overhand grip, palms facing downward.
- Extend your arms straight out in front of you, keeping them shoulder-width apart.
- Roll the weight up by flexing your wrists and curling the rope or bar towards you.
- Continue rolling until the weight plate reaches the top, close to your hands.
- Reverse the motion and roll the weight back down, extending your wrists and letting the rope or bar unwind.
- Repeat for the recommended number of repetitions, maintaining control and tension throughout the movement.
