Module · Meal plans

The nutrition module that replaces your spreadsheets.

Days, meals, foods, portions: you build your client's plan and the calories and macros add up on their own, line after line. They get it in their app, not in a PDF buried in a chat.

Days, meals, foods · macros computed · swaps · shopping list · PDF export

Change a quantity, create a food, rename a meal: the totals follow.

The spreadsheet worked for two clients

You build, it counts itself.

Every food you add brings its calories and macros to the meal, the day, the plan. No formula to copy across, no wrong total discovered three weeks later.

One less calculation

Calories, protein, carbs, fat and fibre add up as you enter foods and quantities.

Never twice

A plan becomes a template, a week duplicates, your recipes drop into any meal.

In their pocket

Your client opens their app and sees today's meals, their macros and your note. They are notified the moment you hand over the plan.

Swaps and choices

Not a salmon fan? They swap, without texting you.

Set your food swaps once: the client sees what to replace it with, in the right quantity. And when you'd rather set the frame, you leave them two dishes to choose from.

  • Food swaps: the quantity is converted for them, not guessed
  • Choice sections: two or three dishes, they decide
  • You see their pick in the editor, and the day's total stays right
  • A quantity changed for one client leaves everyone else's recipe alone

Client side

Their plan in their app, not in a PDF.

They open the app and see the day, the meals, the quantities and your note. And if they prefer paper, you export the plan and the shopping list as PDFs.

  • Day by day, with macros and your meal notes
  • Their food diary: they post meals, with photos if they want, and you reply
  • Shopping list generated from the plan, to copy or export

What about a spreadsheet?

A calorie table is not a follow-up.

Excel computes just fine. Keeping twelve plans current, handling swaps and finding the right version is another story.

Formulas break

One inserted row, one changed quantity, and the day's total lies without warning. Here every food carries its own macros.

A PDF is frozen

Once sent, it ages. The client's plan updates where they read it, and they are told when you hand them a new one.

The list, again

Shopping gets retyped at every change. Here it is generated from the plan, quantities already added up.

3 steps

From template to client, in 3 steps.

You never write the same plan twice.

    01

    Start from a template

One of your saved plans, or another client's plan taken as it is.

    02

    Build the days

Meals, foods, portions, recipes and supplements. Totals follow, so do the swaps.

    03

    Hand it to your client

They get their own copy, notification included. What you change for them afterwards touches no one else.

FAQ

The questions we get asked most.

How long does it take to build a meal plan?
The first one takes as long as you take to decide the meals. The next ones start from a template or an existing plan: you adjust quantities and assign. A week duplicates, a day and a meal copy across.
Can I reuse a plan from one client to another?
Yes. Save a plan as a template, or create a new plan from an existing one. Each client gets their own copy: what you change for them changes nothing for the others.
Which food database do I work with?
A database of several thousand foods with calories, protein, carbs, fat, fibre, sodium and sugars, searchable instantly. You can also create your own foods (brands, packaged products, homemade preparations), visible to you alone.
Does my client see their macros?
You choose whether the plan shows macros. They also get daily targets with consumed and remaining, filled in by hand or synced from MyFitnessPal.
Can I use my own recipes?
Yes: ingredients, steps, prep and cooking time, a photo, and calories per portion computed from the ingredients. A recipe drops into any meal. The recipe marketplace, though, requires a higher plan.
Does it suit dietitians?
For building plans, following clients remotely and handling swaps, yes. But there is no regulatory patient record and no certified CIQUAL database: if your practice requires those, a dedicated tool remains the better fit.
What if the client doesn't follow the plan?
You see it through their food diary: they post meals, with photos if they want, and you comment. The boxes they tick in their plan stay on their phone: that is their reminder, not a surveillance report.
Does nutrition cost an extra subscription?
No. Meal plans, recipes, swaps and the shopping list are part of Fit'Distance. Only the recipe marketplace and adding your logo to PDFs require a higher plan.
